One of the most common FAQs is how to create a Ripple/XRP wallet.
You need a Ripple/XRP wallet to store your XRP in. There are various types of wallets available: hardware wallets, software, wallets at exchanges and more.
Hardware wallets offer the highest level of security and are therefore our top recommendation, but it can take a little while to buy one and wait for them to arrive.
If you want to get set up straight away you can try the cross-platform wallet service Toast.
You should note that Ripple wallets usually require a minimum of a 20 XRP reserve to fund them for the first time.
We have no control over this, it is a fundamental aspect of the Ripple system.
Once you have a Ripple wallet you can place an order on our site and we can send you XRP, including the 20 XRP needed to reserve the wallet if it is required.
You don’t need to send just the 20 XRP alone for the first payment, you can send more than this and it will automatically take the first 20 XRP as the reserve and credit the rest to the wallet’s balance.
For example if you purchase the minimum 100 XRP on this site, all 100 XRP will hit your wallet (we pay any fees), then 20 of that will be used to reserve the wallet for your use.
Wallet addresses only need to be reserved once, however if you create a second wallet address you will most likely also need to reserve this new address.
